Thought - The Kingdom

"Is it not yet a very little while Till Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, And the fruitful field be esteemed as a forest?" Isaiah 29:17, NKJV

This is a well worded question that points beautifully to the promise of a coming Kingdom over which Messiah Joshua (Jesus) will rule for a thousand years! It will be one of peace, prosperity, and beauty. It will also be a government. And He will rule it with righteousness and justice. The presence of the Spirit will also be abundant. We do not know when this Kingdom will appear. But we know that it was an overwhelming promise in the Old Testament by the prophets. And it was announced by John the Baptist, Christ, and His Apostles. What has happened to our hope and anticipation of this wonderful rule of God? (See also Daniel 2:44.)
