GOOD NEWS FROM GOD!

The Bible has some good news and some bad news for us!

The bad news is:

THE WORLD IS IN BIG TROUBLE WITH GOD!

“God looked down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of
them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no not one.” (Psalm 53:2, 3)

OUR SINS ARE REAPING AWFUL CONSEQUENCES!

God says,

“… ‘I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity….’ ”
(Isaiah 13:9, 11a)

“He is coming! He is coming
to judge the earth!
He shall judge the world with righteousness,
and the peoples with His truth!”
(See Psalm 96:13)


We do not like to talk about Judgment Day, Sin, or God. It’s considered “unfashionable”! And yet our sins and our selfish ways have turned us
into slaves of all kinds of evil practices and addictions!

The Bible lists just a few:

“...sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures,
idolatry, sorcery,
hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger,
selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy,
drunkenness
[including substance abuse],
wild parties, and other sins”

The Bible goes on to say,

“Let me tell you again, as I have before,
ANYONE LIVING THAT SORT OF LIFE WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD!”
(Galatians 5:19-21, New Living translation)

The evidence shows we are headed for destruction!

God’s response to our predicament is this:

“Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” saith the Lord

GOD: “and not that he should return from his ways, and live?”
(Ezekiel 18:23)

My friend, the first step to your sin problem is to ask the Lord’s forgiveness for your sins and to put your trust in Jesus Christ!

God sent His Son Jesus Christ to take the punishment for each one of us!

“He was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be [made] whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.
All of us, like sheep, have strayed away.
We have left God’s paths to follow our own.
And the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all!”
(Isaiah 53, NLT)
But Christ was brought to life again after His crucifixion, and He can give YOU new life too!
The resurrected Jesus Himself said,

“Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day.
It was also written that this message
[of hope] would be proclaimed
to all the nations: …
‘THERE IS FORGIVENESS OF SINS FOR ALL WHO REPENT!’
(Luke 24:46, 47 NLT)

The Bible also says,

“For whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!”
(Romans 10:13)

“So what should you do?”

Admit your wrongs to God and turn to Christ!

Be honest with God (and with yourself) and turn from your sins realizing that Jesus suffered for your sins and rose from the dead. Turn to Jesus Christ. Accept Him as your Lord and Savior.
YOU WILL BE SAVED AND WILL ESCAPE GOD’S AWFUL WRATH THAT’S COMING!

Jesus said,
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life!”
(John 6:47, NKJV)

Now a new disciple of Jesus Christ needs to begin following the Lord’s teachings.

So find a Bible-believing church and get baptized as your next step of obedience AFTER being saved! Baptism and joining a church does not
save you. God’s mercy and your trust in Christ saves you (See Ephesians 2:8, 9). Getting baptized and joining a church just move you further on your spiritual path!
